A 42-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle in the southwest Las Vegas Valley. The incident occurred at 10:07 p.m. on October 1 on South Jones Boulevard north of West Rochelle Avenue, near Flamingo Road.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC traveling south struck the pedestrian as he crossed the road outside a marked or implied crosswalk. The left side of the vehicle made contact with the man.
The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center, where he died on Tuesday. His death marks the 93rd traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction for 2026.
