Knights forward ejected for elbow during Bruins game

Golden Knights forward Braeden Bowman was ejected from Monday's game against the Boston Bruins after receiving a game misconduct for elbowing. The penalty occurred in the second period when Bowman went to finish a check on Bruins forward Matthew Poitras and was ruled to have landed with his elbow, bloodying Poitras's face.

The incident followed a first-period play in which Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy received a minor penalty for interference that injured Knights rookie forward Trevor Connelly. Connelly returned to the lineup for the start of the second period, but Vegas played the remainder of the game down a forward after Bowman's ejection.

Boston capitalized on the ensuing five-minute major power play, scoring to take a 2-0 lead over the Knights.
