During the festivities starting at 7 a.m., the first 100 customers will receive a gift card ranging up to $500 and a complimentary reusable bag while supplies last throughout the week.

Grocery Outlet announced it will open its newest location in Henderson on Sept. 3. The store, situated at 879 E. Lake Mead Parkway in the Cadence district, will begin festivities at 7 a.m., offering the first 100 customers an acquisition paper ranging up to $500 along with a complimentary reusable container. Supplies will be available throughout the week. Shoppers also have the chance to win $1,000 in free groceries by entering a drawing that runs from Sept. 3 through Oct. 2. At 10 a.m. on opening day, the store’s independent owners and operators will conduct a ribbon‑cutting ceremony and present donations of $500 each to Three Square and Vegas Roots Rescue. Based in Emeryville, California, Grocery Outlet emphasizes deep discounts, typically ranging from 40 to 60 percent off a broad assortment of goods that includes fresh produce, meat, packaged foods, hygiene items and alcoholic beverages. Separately, another retailer disclosed plans last week to launch a new outlet in September. Hispanic‑focused chain El Super revealed that its latest store will open at 1601 W. Craig Road, marking the chain’s fifth presence in the Las Vegas Valley. The 56,000‑square‑foot facility will stock Latin American grocery products, feature a full‑service nutrition department, a bakery offering freshly baked breads, cookware, dulce and tortillas, and a restaurant‑style counter serving ready‑to‑go meals. El Super anticipates hiring roughly 120 full‑ and part‑time associates for the site. El Super currently operates more than 70 stores across California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and Texas. The banner is a division of Chedraui USA, which also oversees the Fiesta Mart and Smart & Final formats.
