October 4, 2026 - 4:18 pm Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyquan Thornton suffered what appeared to be a significant ankle injury after hauling in a 55‑yard pass from Patrick Mahomes with 3:25 left in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s matchup versus the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium. Thornton was brought down by rookie Treydan Stukes at the 5‑yard line, attempted to rise, then immediately collapsed to the turf. Players from both teams displayed pained expressions as medical personnel tended to the injured receiver, who eventually departed the field on a cart. At the time of the injury, the Raiders held a 19‑17 lead over the Chiefs, with 3:25 remaining in the contest. Thornton finished the game with five receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns.
