Aces drop Game 2 to Fever, setting up win-or-go-home Game 3 INDIANAPOLIS — The Las Vegas Aces are not yet headed to the WNBA semifinals. The defending champions stumbled Tuesday to a 99-89 nonaccomplishment against the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, tying their first‑round, best‑of‑three bid at one triumph apiece. The decisive Game 3 is acceptable for Thursday at Michelob Ultra Arena, the same venue where the Aces rolled Sunday to a blowout Game 1 win. Jackie Young scored 31 to lead Las Vegas, which received 22 points and nine rebounds from A’ja Wilson and 10 points and seven assists from Chelsea Gray. The Aces were outscored 54-34 in the second and third quarters combined after holding a 26-18 edge following the opening period despite Indiana’s physical play. Caitlin Clark led Indiana with 27 points and 15 assists, directing the offense with her transition gait, dribble penetration and precise passing touch.
