He subsequently entered a no‑contest plea to disorderly conduct and possession of illegal tools. Following his arrest, York posted a $5,000 bond and was released. The court sentenced him to serve 1 time in jail for both offenses, to run concurrently, and credited him with 1 time served because the plea was entered Monday morning. In addition to the custodial term, York was fined $1,150. Court documents show that the original charge against him was engaging in prostitution, but prosecutors later amended the accusation to disorderly conduct. The records also indicate that a cellphone seized from York was returned to him and that $160 taken during the arrest will be forwarded to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force as stipulated in the plea agreement. York completed an online educational course as part of the settlement. Representatives for the 49ers and the NFL did not provide an immediate response to requests for comment. York, who is 46, assumed day‑to‑day oversight of the franchise from his parents in 2008 and became the team’s principal owner in 2024.
