16-year-old Las Vegas boy arrested in fatal shooting near Santa Monica Pier

Investigators said a physical altercation between two groups preceded the shooting, and detectives later identified the suspect as a 16-year-old Las Vegas resident. The juvenile surrendered to Santa Monica Police detectives on July 21 and was taken into custody as part of the homicide investigation.
