A 31-year-old suspected impaired driver died after his vehicle crashed into multiple fixed objects early Sunday morning in the south Las Vegas Valley, according to police.

A 31‑year‑old driver suspected of impairment died after his 2021 Jeep Compass struck multiple fixed objects in the Las Vegas Valley early Sunday morning, police said. The crash occurred at 3:42 a.m. on South Eastern Avenue, just north of East Eldorado Lane, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Officers reported that the Jeep, traveling northbound, left its lane and hit the raised median. After crossing the median, the vehicle entered the southbound lanes, struck the westbound curb, then continued onto the westbound sidewalk where it collided with several Vegas Valley Water District boxes and a large NV Energy wooden power pole. The driver was taken to Sunrise Hospital with life‑threatening injuries and later died. Police said impairment was suspected in the collision.
