The coaching carousel continues for the Las Vegas Raiders.
Pete Carroll is out after one season and three wins, the team said this morning.
That means the Raiders will enter next season with their fourth head coach in four seasons as they try to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2021-22. They have won just seven games over the last two seasons.
General Manager John Spytek will lead the coaching search in collaboration with minority owner Tom Brady, owner Mark Davis said in a statement.
"They will guide football decisions with a shared focus on leadership, culture, and alignment with the organization’s long-term vision and goals," Davis said.
In addition to a new coach, the Raiders will likely enter the season with a new quarterback. They hold the first pick in the upcoming draft, where Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza of Indiana and Oregon's Dante Moore are projected to be the top quarterbacks selected.
This is a developing story. We'll have more later
