Las Vegas Raiders signed veteran wide receiver Noah Brown on Sunday, adding depth to a young receiving corps while releasing defensive tackle Benito Jones to open a roster spot.
Brown, who has played for the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and Washington Commanders, agreed to terms ahead of the team’s trip to Houston for a preseason game with the Texans.
Over eight NFL seasons he has accumulated 155 receptions for 2,083 yards and six touchdowns in 91 games, including 38 starts. His career average of 13.7 yards per reception places him among the top 25 players with at least 125 catches.
Selected by Dallas in the seventh round of the 2017 draft out of Ohio State, Brown spent the last two seasons with Washington. His most memorable moment came as the recipient of the “Hail Maryland” pass from Jayden Daniels that lifted the Commanders over Chicago in October 2024.
The Raiders view Brown as a potential playmaker who can add both production and depth to a wide‑receiver group that needs additional weapons, especially with second‑year pro Dont’e Thornton Jr. battling an injury.
Jones had been vying for snaps on the interior of the defensive line and was thought to be in the mix to earn a roster spot, but Las Vegas added run‑stopping veteran Foley Fatukasi earlier in the week, leaving Jones on the sideline Sunday.
