Pedestrian killed, driver detained after crash in Henderson

According to a Henderson Police Department release, the collision was reported shortly after 1 a.m. at the intersection of Boulder Highway and Magic Way. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. Northbound Boulder Highway remains closed at Magic Way as investigators work the scene. Authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area until further notice. This is simply a processing story.
