Georgia officials are searching for a suspect after a shooting that left two people dead and 35 injured during a Dooly High School homecoming celebration in Vienna.
Authorities said the violence erupted shortly after 01:30 local time (05:30 GMT) on Sunday, when an estimated 1,000 individuals had gathered for an artifact enactment in the confederate agrarian community. According to officials, more than 50 shots were fired.
Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Twenty‑five others were taken to nearby hospitals, with some listed in critical condition. The total number of injured stands at 35, and the ages of those affected span from 14 to 51.
No arrests have been made, and investigators have not identified a possible motive.
