Driver killed in one-vehicle crash on North Las Vegas freeway

The driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash last week on I-15 near the Tropical Parkway off-ramp in North Las Vegas, according to a Nevada State Police news release. 

Troopers responded to the crash at about 10:50 p.m. on May 4, the release stated. 

According to reports, a 2020 Honda Accord crashed on I-15 just south of the Tropical Parkway off-ramp. The driver had failed to maintain its travel lane, veering off the roadway and continuing through the shoulder, where it hit the concrete barrier wall. It then hit an overhead sign support and subsequently caught fire, the release stated. 

The driver succumbed to injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, the release stated.
