Boulder City High School was locked down today as police investigated a report of a weapon on campus that turned out to be a false alarm, the Clark County School District confirmed.

The investigation was confirmed by CCSD sharing this note to parents from Principal Amy Wagner.

“In an effort to keep you informed of matters happening within and around our school community, I want to make you aware that school administration received a report of a possible weapon on campus this morning,” Wagner wrote.

“Police immediately investigated, and no weapon was located. Out of an abundance of caution, the school was placed on secure status during the investigation. There were no threats to the students or the school.”

As of last Friday, police had confiscated 18 guns from schools around the district during the 2025-26 school year, according to CCSD Police data.
