Baltimore Ravens have locked in star wide receiver Zay Flowers with a four‑year, $140 million contract extension. The deal includes $108 million in guaranteed money and carries an average annual value of $35 million, placing Flowers among the NFL’s highest‑paid wide receivers. At that rate he ties Justin Jefferson for the fourth‑largest yearly salary, trailing only Jaxon Smith‑Njigba, Ja’Marr Chase and Drake London. Flowers, who turned 25 this year, was selected 22nd overall by Baltimore in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Boston College. Since his rookie season he has posted back‑to‑back 1,000‑yard receiving campaigns and earned Pro Bowl honors in each of the last two years. His breakout 2025 season yielded 86 receptions for a franchise‑record 1,211 receiving yards, further cementing his chemistry with quarterback Lamar Jackson and establishing him as one of the league’s most productive young pass‑catchers. The extension comes after months of optimism from both sides that a long‑term agreement could be reached. Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta previously stated that the organization wanted Flowers to remain in Baltimore, and the receiver himself made clear during the offseason that he hoped to spend his entire career with the franchise. The new deal also follows the team’s decision to exercise Flowers’ fifth‑year option earlier this year, which gave both parties additional time to negotiate a larger commitment. By securing Flowers through the 2031 season, Baltimore underscores its intent to keep its core offensive unit intact even as the wide‑receiver market continues to rise. Despite entering only his fourth NFL season, Flowers already ranks among the franchise’s all‑time leaders in receptions and receiving yards. The Ravens regard him as a foundational piece alongside Jackson as they pursue a Super Bowl championship.
